Free School Uniforms for Families in Need
No stress, no judgement – if you need a free school uniform for your child, we’re here to help. Just apply, and we’ll do our best to get you what you need.
We provide new and pre-loved uniforms, along with essentials like coats and shoes, all year round. These items are donated by parents, PTAs, and local businesses, making sure families get the support they need when money is tight.
No child should feel different because of their uniform. We help families by:
Making sure children have what they need to feel confident and comfortable at school.
Easing the pressure on parents struggling with uniform costs.
Reducing stigma and bullying linked to financial hardship.
Providing support throughout the cost-of-living crisis.
In 2024 alone, we provided 16,000 school items to families across Essex.
By reusing uniforms, we also cut down on waste, but most importantly, we ensure every child has the same opportunities, no matter their circumstances.
More families than ever need help with school uniform, and we can’t do it alone. Volunteers are needed to help with sorting, packing, events, deliveries, and donations.
Every donation helps a child:
£5 washes 8kg of uniform.
£20 provides a child with a coat or a pair of shoes.
£50 covers 2 coats, 2 pairs of shoes, or 2.5 staffing hours.
£100 helps 4 children with shoes, 3 children with winter coats, or funds 5 staffing hours.
